What is Bella Protocol?

Bella Protocol combines existing Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols into a simplified user interface. They aim to provide a smoother and easier experience for users to earn yield on their crypto assets, through a full suite of DeFi products.

What are BEL tokens?

The Bella tokens, or BEL tokens, are the protocol’s native token and have multiple use-cases:

a) Fee Collection - Management fees collected are ultimately used to reward BEL holders

b) Discounts - Custodians fees are lower when paid in BEL

c) Voting and Governance - Users can stake BEL to vote for changes to the network.

d) Interest Alternative - Users can choose to receive BEL as interest instead of their original asset.

How Does Bella Protocol Work?

Bella aims to provide a class of DeFi products that can be accessed using a single interface.

Among the planned products are:

a) Bella Liquidity Mining - Users stake liquidity provider (LP) tokens to earn rewards

b) Bella Flex-Savings - Offers maximized yield through arbitrage strategies across multiple platforms

c) Bella One-Click Portal - A smart portal to deploy crypto assets with subsidized gas fees

d) Bella Lending - Decentralized lending products that support LP tokens and can be used for liquidity mining

e) Bella Robo-Advisor - Customized portfolios of cryptocurrencies and yield-earning stablecoins generated based on the user’s risk profile

Currently, liquidity mining is live while flex-savings are available on a sandbox environment of Ethereum and not on the mainnet. Through their first version of flex-savings, users can deposit stablecoins such as USDC and BUSD, or other assets such as ARPA or BTC to earn yield, and they will receive bTokens which represent their claim on the assets deposited. These bTokens can then be staked to earn even more returns through BEL rewards.

How Do I Get BEL Tokens?

You can obtain BEL tokens by purchasing them from cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance or Uniswap. 

Alternatively, Bella Protocol’s own liquidity mining program lets users farm BEL by staking Uniswap liquidity provider tokens. Users may choose to provide liquidity for the BEL/USDT, BEL/ETH or ARPA/USDT liquidity pool on Uniswap.
